There are many things that most authors never take advantage of, one of them being groups and networks. Being an author and selling books is a full time job, and about half of that time needs to be spent in networking, finding your next review and your next reader! It may help you sell more books, and it can also be a means of meeting people you wouldn't otherwise and making new friends. It's also a great way to learn about other books of interest.
